Nurses in Danbury, New Milford and Norwalk who want to conduct clinical research and pursue advanced nursing degrees can have their tuition paid for under a newly created $1 million endowment from the estate of a Bridgewater woman who herself was a scholar. The fund is named after Beatrice Hofstadter White , who died in 2012, and who is best known for editing the books of two of her Pulitzer Prize-winning husbands.
