Bertony Thompson, 44, has been charged with the murder of 62-year-old Jackie Silverman, who police found asphyxiated Wednesday in a bedroom of a home at 41 Wolfpit Ave. Norwalk police detectives obtained a warrant for Thompson's arrest Friday morning and took him into custody shortly afterward. He is being held on a $1 million bond and is scheduled to appear Monday in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
