Funding and scheduling plans have been put in place to replace the embattled 118-year-old Metro-North Walk Bridge, said state and federal officials gathered near the embattled bridge in Norwalk on Thursday morning. The bridge failed twice in two weeks this year, delaying Metro-North and Amtrak trains along the Northeast corridor and prompting officials to call for its replacement.
