After graduating from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy, Froleiks married Nancy Froleiks and practiced pharmacy at several locations, including his own business, which remained open until 1980. Froleiks retired to the Cape Cod area, where he served on the executive board of the Retired Men's Club of Cape Cod and held numerous positions at the First Congregational Church in Yarmouth, including a member of the Board of Christian Education, a deacon, church clerk and chairman of the music committee.
