NORWALKStaff Reports Police are searching a gunman who fired at least seven shots at the King Kennedy housing complex Friday night, sending one of the bullets through the window of an apartment in the complex.The gunshots were reported at 11:22 p.m. by a King Kennedy resident who lives .
NORWALK By STEVE KOBAK Hour Staff Writer Norwalk Police arrested a 25-year-old man Thursday afternoon for allegedly kicking his 3-year-old stepson in the face because the toddler accidentally unplugged an air conditioner. Rafael Villanueva, of 97 Lexington Ave., Apt. 3, was charged with third-degree assault and risk of injury to a minor. He was held on $20,000 bond and was arraigned in Norwalk Superior Court on Friday. An anonymous tipster called Norwalk Police at 1:30 p.m. Thursday to report that a boy at a Lexington Avenue apartment had been abused by his stepfather, police said. The tipster said the abuse occurred on Wednesday, police said. Patrol officers and officers from the Youth Bureau of the Norwalk Police Department responded to the Lexington Avenue apartment, according to police. When officers arrived, they observed a visibly injured 3-year-old boy inside of the apartment, police said. The boy had bruising to his eye and swelling to his face, police said. Investigators spoke with the boy's mother, who said that one of her other sons had told her about the incident, according to police. She said her 3-year-old son was playing near the air conditioning cord and when the boy accidentally shut off the air conditioner, Villanueva became enraged and kicked the boy in the face, police said.

NORWALK By STEVE KOBAK Hour Staff Writer A city man was arrested early Friday morning for hopping into an acquaintance's car without her permission then proceeding to touch her inappropriately and expose himself, police said. Sidney Orando, 35, of 32 Pine St., was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault, public indecency, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and unlawful restraint. He was held on $10,000 bond and given a court date of Aug. 9. The complainant told officers she met Orando at Rouge Restaurant and engaged in small talk with him, police said. He tried to come on to her, but she refused his advances, police said.
