Posted: Saturday, May 18, 2013 1:18 pm By STEVE #8200;KOBAK Hour Staff Writer NORWALK #8200;- #8200;A 28-year-old city man was arrested early Saturday morning for punching, strangling and laying on top of a woman who was about to urinate in his backyard, police said. Jose Nelson Ventura, 28, of 6 Larsen St., was charged with third-degree assault, third-degree strangulation and breach of peace. He was held on $5,000 bond and given a court date of May 29. Police say the 33-year-old complainant had been hanging out with a group of friends near the intersection of South Main and Larsen streets when she walked to the rear parking lot of 6 Larsen St. to urinate. When she attempted to relieve herself, Ventura struck her twice in the face and then strangled her, police said. He then laid on top of her, but she was able to kick him to get him off, police said.
