Connecticut nonprofit making a difference for children in Mexico

Norwalk, CT - Simply Smiles Inc., the Norwalk-based charity dedicated to providing bright futures for impoverished children, recently concluded its third health clinic to treat intestinal parasites among 2,500 people in southern Oaxaca, Mexico. The three-day medical clinic comprised two elements: the dispensing of medicine that removes all parasites from an individual's system, as well as the collection and testing of fecal samples to determine infection rates of intestinal parasites by village.
