Hartford Police: Man Fatally Shoots Self In Chest, Apparently By Accident

Police received a report about 1:45 a.m. Saturday about a person who had shot himself in the chest at 27 Barnard St., Deputy Chief Brian Foley said. The dispatcher kept the caller on the lin, and when police were able to make sure no one else was in danger, they approached and found Wesley McPherson, 37, of Testa Place in South Norwalk.
