Norwalk is receiving two state grants worth a total of $5,625,000 - one for Washington Village reconstruction and the other to pay for upgrades to the Stroffolino Bridge between SoNo and East Norwalk. A total of $3 million will be given to pay for the raising and reconstruction of parts of Raymond and Day streets to put them above the 100-year-flood elevation level and allow for emergency vehicles and evacuating residents during floods.
