At first sight, city schools don't seem to fare well in a new study saying the state's public schools have made "clear progress" in reducing desegregation. Less than a quarter of the district's 17 schools qualify as "multiracial" in the study, compared to 40 percent of Bridgeport's schools and 100 percent of schools in Stamford, Norwalk and Stratford.
