The event was held mostly at the New Canaan Country School, which the late Kyle Markes attended before he passed away from cancer. More than 370 students and many of their parents participated in the first " New Canaan Country School Kyle A. Markes Day of Service" on Saturday, April 11 to participate in projects supporting area nonprofits, including prominent Norwalk charities such as Person-to-Person and Open Door Shelter .
