More than 100 students and adults affiliated with Norwalk-based nonprofit Builders Beyond Borders today performed a community service project with Westport's Earthplace, The Nature Discovery Center, to prepare for its Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct 19. Participants freshened trails, installed a stage, and spread tons of mulch and chips in the new picnic area that will be the center piece of next week's event. Tony McDowell, Earthplace executive director, supervised the mulch loading.
