Erin was born on Oct. 12, 1960 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to the late Eveline D. and Leo R. Cavanaugh, Jr. She graduated from Central Catholic High School of Norwalk in 1978. Erin was employed as inventory manager at Petro of Stamford, CT for 15 years, during which time she completed her bachelor's degree in accounting at Pace University.
