Bitter and potentially dangerous cold will linger in Fairfield County through Thursday night, when snow showers will begin to move into the area. Temperatures will only make it to the low 20s Thursday, while wind chills add insult to injury, making it feel between zero and 10 degrees in some areas, according to the National Weather Service.
