An 18-year-old Norwalk man on a motorcycle shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday saw that a Darien police officer had activated lights behind him, but the rider sped off into Norwalk, leaving the officer behind, Darien police said. There was no point in engaging in a chase, according to police, since the officer only wanted to ticket the rider for having a headlight either broken or turned off - and the officer had the license plate number.
