More sunshine officially begins Sunday, March 8, at 2 a.m. when everyone turns their clocks forward one hour in the long-held tradition signaling the arrival of spring. Aside from Hawaii, Arizona and all island U.S. territories, most of the country "springs forward" as an energy-saving measure that dates to 1966, when the Uniform Time Act was implemented.
