A 49-year-old Norwalk woman was arrested on a warrant Friday charging her with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle and traffic violations in connection with the death of 55-year-old Janice Pielert, a pedestrian hit at a downtown Stamford intersection, according to news reports. Natalie Gainer of Norvell Road in Norwalk was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV when her vehicle struck Pielert, who was removed from beneath the Tahoe but later died of her injuries at Stamford Hospital, the Stamford Advocate reported .
