Malloy 's plan to improve transportation in Connecticut, the state is tinkering anew with plans for a rapid-transit bus line linking Stamford and Norwalk along Route 1, though is not providing information on whether the plan envisions special lanes. Separately, the Western Connecticut Council of State Governments is undertaking a $750,000 assessment of Stamford's bus system under CT Transit, with the city in recent years building an Urban Transitway bus system linking the Stamford Transportation Center to various points downtown and in the South End.
