Duff: $161M federal grant for Norwalk rail bridge is welcome news

State Senator Bob Duff on Wednesday hailed Governor Dannel P. Malloy's announcement Connecticut has received a $161 million federal grant to fund the design and replace of the New Haven Line's Walk Railroad Bridge in Norwalk. "Our commuter rail system is the backbone of our regional economy and ensuring safe and reliable service is vital to its success," said Sen. Duff who in June led a bipartisan collection of lawmakers in writing to federal officials urging them to release funds for the vital repairs.
